Cropalati<\/b> \u00e8 un comune italiano di 1.115 abitanti della provincia di Cosenza in Calabria.<\/p>\n

Il nome del paese \u00e8 di evidente origine greco bizantina, cui si riferisce etimologicamente a Kouropal\u00e0tes<\/i> (Maresciallo di palazzo, funzionario bizantino governatore del paese), oppure in onore all’imperatore Michele Curopal\u00e0tis. Dai documenti storici, si hanno notizie del paese a partire dal 1325, con il nome di Caropilati.<\/p>\n

Sul territorio di Cropalati, a pochi chilometri dal centro, sorge un laghetto artificiale denominato “Vurga”. Il flusso d’acqua che lo alimenta proviene dal torrente “Coserie”. Da sempre meta turistica molto ambita per i paesini limitrofi, per i Cropalatesi \u00e8 un luogo in cui rinfrescarsi dal torrido caldo estivo.<\/p>\n

La principale squadra di calcio \u00e8 la Polisportiva Cropalati 1983 A.S.D.<\/i> che milita nel girone A di Seconda Categoria. \u00c8 nata nel 1983.<\/p>\n
